Drivers window won't work due to snapped cable

Hi
I have an 03 megane 1.6 16 v

I was closing my drivers window when I heard a loud crunch noise as the window fully shut I then tried opening the window which worked fine but when I tried to close the window again it would not move now the window will not go up or down.
I have taken the door panel off and the black cable that goes into the motor that drives the window mechanism has snapped and the white end with the spring on has come away from the motor. The motor still works fine as when I press the button to work the window you can hear the motor and it moves the snapped cable.
Is there a way I can get the window back up as it is stuck down till I can get it fixed and what will I need to buy to fix it
