Hi
Just had a N/S wishbone replaced and notice a clicking after pulling away from stationary and turning under heavy (ish) acceleration, clicking does increase with speed and stops when straightening up.
Just to add, the noise sounds O/S

Re: Clicking when turning / accelerating
Hi Lee. When a bottom joint is disconnected, the suspension leg tends to "spring out" at the bottom and this can separate the inner CV joint. The only thing I can think of off hand is this is what has happened and it has not been put back together properly. It can be a pain and to locate it correctly means cutting the CV joint strap and putting it back together manually (and an ideal opportunity to top up with CV joint grease. Any noise resulting from this would appear to come from below the gear lever area and is likely to have caused damage. I recognise the symptoms you describe from my early years when testing 850 minis by driving around in a tight circle in both directions. The faster the speed, the tighter the lock, the louder the clicking noise - that meant an MOT failure and a new joint! This was of course in the days when cars were road-tested for MOT. Revealing my age here...

Hmm, don't like the sound of that.
Might call back at the garage, see what they say.
They had the car over 30 hours, car came back with oily marks on the interior as well.
Will check wheel nuts.
It sounds like off side clicking, the job was near side.

Re: Clicking when turning / accelerating
30 hours? I would expect to do this job comfortably in an evening unaided - and I am a sad old git!
it's no different to any other car with this design of front suspension (which is many). The only difference with the Meg is that there is a subframe in the way. This subframe supports the radiator and has to be removed to access the suspension arm front bolts. In fact it need not be removed but unbolted and moved a bit to one side. Could they have changed both arms? Defo you need to go back.
Please report the outcome.

Re: Clicking when turning / accelerating
Am sure it didn't take the 30 hrs to actually do the job, I think just queued up the cars/jobs.
The owner knew the score with the job and mentioned the sub frame etc.
They haven't changed both. I supplied the part from a while back. I just changed the ball joint myself first time around.
Not been back yet, too busy, hoping to Monday

Re: Clicking when turning / accelerating
Update (not really)
Didn't fancy going back to the garage and sold the car, car was for sale prior to going there.
Gutted its gone, was a great car really but mileage caught up (115k) and had it 3 years which is a long time for me.
Did try and buy another but dealers wouldn't budge on price and so got a Fiat Bravo for a bit, doesn't have the gadgets the Megane had, does have its own but not like the Renault.
I will be back in a Megane one day.
Ciao
