'09 Megane CC 1.6 petrol - CLutch Judder.

I recently bought my Megane from a dealer and now within 2 weeks of buying it there is really bad clutch judder within 10-15 minutes of using it for stop-start driving. It is only noticeable in 1st gear (not reverse), I am just worried that the dealer will try and get out of fixing it.

Did you get a Warranty from the Dealer when you brought the Car!

If not quote "the Sale of Good Act" to them and say the fault was there when you brought the Car from them.

Also go to "Citizens Advice" they can give you advice on what to do.

I got a 6 month Ultimate Warranty from WMS Group with it but I will call the dealer first. I think I am right in believing that a dealer must inform you of all faults when buying a vehicle and not leave it to the buyer to discover them?

If the Dealer knows of the faults then I think the answer is yes, but he may say the fault did not show while he had the car in stock but that is no excuse.

If the fault was there when you brought the car and if you have only had it for a couple of weeks it sounds like it was, plus a fault can starts as a intermittent one so the dealer may not have notice it.

Did you get the Warranty from the Dealer.

Go back to the dealer first an see what they say and work it from there.
