The odd time I cold start it there's a cloud of white with a hint of blue smoke from the exhaust along with a diesely oily smell, it's been over ten years since I owned a diesel car(Citroen ZX 1.9) & i'm not really "up" on diesels, I know black smoke is normal when accelerating & blue smoke usually means it's donald ducked!
Is it normal, is it just unburnt fuel or first signs of something going wrong, it's only done 30k miles & is booked in for a oil + filter & fuel filter change.

Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Re: 1.5 dci106 future problem?
I don't see smoke in the video. The sound changes as the engine gets warmer - cheap oil is probably used, or it may be overdue for servicing. The smell is not a problem, because the cat is inactive when the engine is cold.

There was a bit of smoke but my S3 didn't pick it up that well & it's having oil changed at this very moment.
