Renault Clip

Anyone in or around Birmingham with Renault Clip who can activate my autolights for me for a small fee?

Alternatively, if anyone is wanting to sell their Renault Clip, I've posted ann add in the 'For Sale / Wanted' section (must be cheap'ish )

Have you retro fitted the system as otherwise you hold in the button on the left hand stork until it displays on the dash that they are activated

No it's factory fitted, but has never worked in my ownership - the button doesn't do anything. I think somewhere along the lines its been deactivated after the windscreen was replaced. I've just recently got the autowipers working so I can't see what else it could be except needing to be activated.

I also have a 1.5 dci 106 Dynamique S, mine hasn't got the auto lights but still has the button at the end of the light stalk, I thought auto lights & wipers were standard on Dynamiques but I guess I was wrong as mine as neither.

Remove the trim around the rear view mirror and see if you have the sensor fitted to the screen. This is the rain and light sensor.
To activate it you need to push the button for about 5 seconds with the key in, and engine off, to deactivate it, do the same but with the engine running, or vice versa.
it will beep when you deactivate it, and do nothing when activate it, if your scroll through the trip computer on the right stalk, you can tell if they are on or off, if on it will say 'no message to display' if they are off it will say 'auto light deactivated' or something along those lines.

Mine doesn't have the sensor & the first position on the wiper stalk is intermittent. My 1.2 Clio Dynamique had both & the auto wipers & lights never worked properly so I don't miss them.

If your wipers work as normal intermittent then you dont have auto wipes. Mine didn't work at all until last week (on intermittent) but have just fixed that. Not overly impressed with the sensitivity of it though, or maybe the screen needs a good polish.
