Re: Megane offside front brake hose
Very easy, just read the manual first. Clean everything first. Then undo the compression joint where the hose meets the rigid pipe. Prepare some sort of a cap to plug the pipe. Then do the other end. On assembly undo the bleed screw on the calliper, remove the cap and quickly assemble the compression joint. Some brake fluid will escape, but not much. DO NOT USE CLAMPS - they damage the hose. Then bleed all wheels, use 1L of fluid, either DOT4 or, better, DOT5.1. Half a litre will be fine, if the fluid was recently changed.
Any rust from the rigid brake lines need to be removed and the pipework painted over with hammered Hammerite.
