Hi all,
Im really hoping someone can help please? I own a Megane Oasis 1.5 DCI on an 06 plate.
For the past 10 days or so, the car is really struggling to start from cold. I was driving the car when warm and the service light came on with warning "check injection". Since then, the car has been playing up when cold.
I took it to a garage who plugged it in & diagnosed glow plugs. 3 out of 4 were dead. I hace replaced all 4 with brand new ones and I still have the same problem. After plugs replaced, no error codes are reading & service light went off. As soon as car was restarted, service light came back on and check injection warning message but no error codes on the reader machine.
The car will start, then stalls. When it eventually does stay on, you can hear the engine almost dropping out as if its going to stall. The revs do not move though. The car then smoles ALOT! Its like a grey colour.
The car had a new fuel pump, lines flushed & new injectors 3 months ago (5k miles) so surely it cant be injectors??
Please can someone help?? Thanks x

Re: No idea how to fix!
I would remove EGR valve and check its not sticking/coked up.If it sticks open it will smoke like hell and really struggle to start.Hope this helps.

Re: No idea how to fix!
I think i've found the EGR valve, possibly.. I have a thick pipe that is covered in wet, thick black stuff! Could this be coming from the valve? Also, if this is the valve, could it cause the problems I am experiencing??
Many thanks x
