DCI VACUUM PIPE LOCATION, PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi all this is my first post so thanks for having me. Just changed engine on my 1.9 dci 2005 grand scenic and i am struggling with were the vac pipes go. I have manage to suss most of them but i am stuck with one at the back of the engine. There is a small tee piece one end attaches to the cylinder canister thing (forget what it is called) the other is going to the turbo. but there is a spare which is pointing towards the airbox, which i believe should have a pipe connected.I would be very gratefull if some one could check theirs and let me know. I know its a bit vague and i am trying to put a pic on but not sure how to do it. Many thanks

I've jsut changed the engine in my 1.5dci.
If they are similar my pipe from the vaccum pump (on the end of the rocker cover) goes to the brake servo. The pipe from the turbo goes to a valve of some sort which mounts on the ECU bracket.
There is a breather pipe from the rocker cover which goes to the inlet pipe on the turbo also.

If i remember correctly there should be a small solenoid valve located underneath the vac cannister that your remaining pipe fits onto. If there's one about, I'll have a look at a 1.9 tomorrow and update.

Thanks for your replies, i will try and put a pic on later, could you please confirm that the little valve that bolts to the manifold has the left hand outlet unconnected, it is the end were the electrical connector goes. Mine just has the two on the right hand side used. Many thanks.

Re: DCI VACUUM PIPE LOCATION, PLEASE HELP!!!
Great, thanks very much for all your help. It turned out that the smaller nipple on the black plastic out let on the vac pump had snapped of so i couldnt see where it went. Just for anyone who is interested it seems that all 6speed f9q engines are almost the same and can be interchanged regardless of codes. The sumps can vary but will still fit, also crank, cam and injection pump sprokets may need to be swapped as there are different sizes. As long as the bell housing lines up(ie 6 speed) you should be ok. Just my experience. Cheers.
