Its comes up on the display Auto Fault.
When I push the wiper stalk down one for intermittent wipers, it stays on and showy Auto Fault. All the other positions are fine.
Is there a resolution to this? Will it show up on a diagnostics?

Re: Auto Lights & Wipers
Could be the old sensor issue, has the car had a new windscreen in it's life that you know of? If so it could be that the sensor has not been correctly re-fitted, it exists in a vaccuum afaik and some less than perfect windscreen replacement places are a bit shoddy about making sure that this is the case.

Re: Auto Lights & Wipers
I think it has had a replacement. Although I would have to check to be sure.
Where is the sensor located? Could it be a case of a loose wire?
Why does the service light only come on when the wipers are switched to intermittent?
Would it show up on a diagnostics machine?

Re: Auto Lights & Wipers
The sensor is located behind the rear view mirror.
Maybe the service light only appears when in auto/intermittent position because that's the ony position when the ECU (?) is requesting any information from it.
Don't know if it would store an error code for it.
BTW, do your auto lights still work?

I'm not sure if they work or not?
The garage turned the auto function off. How do I turn it back on?

Re: Auto Lights & Wipers
Press and hold the button on the end of the headlight stalk and a message appears on the dash to confirm if they're on or off.
Alternatively start your car, get out, and put your hand over the sensor (fooling it into thinking it's gone dark) and see if your lights come on.

Unless you mean the garage disabled the auto function permanently through the CLIP computer?

Re: Auto Lights & Wipers
Right, I have activated them and the message says Auto Fault Lights.
So I assume it's to do with the wiring or sensor?
I have took the casing off and there is only one work. It comes out of the grey adapter into the back of the rear view mirror. Is this normal?
Can anyone take a photo of the back of yours?
