fan does not work on speed 4

hi all can someone help me please, got a megane 2 on a 54 place , fan works on 1,2,3 but not 4 i have spent ages looking for help but i am stuck is my heater resistor gone? or is it the direct 12v feed ?? any help would be great i know there is all those manuals on here and ive gone through about 80 percent and given myself a headache ! please help me due to the wife bashing my brains in as winter is now coming

I have the same problem, not had the car long, but as soon as you click the knob round to 4 it just stops dead!! Strange?

mine also does the same ..... i now just think of it as an economy setting lool

anyway its usually the resistor part that fails .. very similar to vauxhalls

got a feeling the heat reasistor just lowers the resistance going up the numbers i.e setting 1 = 4v 2 = 6v 3= 8v and 4 = 12v which bypasses resistor totally ?? but would like some infomation before going to rip the dash apart
