Passenger Window stuck down :(

Postby Vintyd » Mon Nov 28, 2011 3:23 pm

Well the girlfriends wonderful 2005 Megane's passenger window is stuck half way down. It will go down but not up and I've tried the double lock and fuse in and out method not working :( Also noticed the driver side window in now only moving in a few inches at a time and then stops. Would this be due to the passenger side not working correctly?

I have bought another motor with window control module from a breakers this afternoon and will attempt to swap out tonight in the cold :cry

I think its possibly just the control module on the motor swaps it over and bring the part back

if it moves i think its more likely the window mechanism and the window control module is fine...good luck

Well just swapped the control module on the motor and away she went working 100% again :)

I knew it wasn't the mechanism or motor as it was going up when I deadlocked the car so was going up and down then just packed in!

nice :)

ive misspelled my self, i mean "if it moves its not the mechanism but the window regulator"

Dont forget to isolate it because of the common fault of water ingress on it

cheers
