Airbag light on/clicking from steering!

Hi all, i think this thread has been ressurected a few times so once more wont hurt! If i'm correct the clock spring is sealed in the stalk/radio control assembly so if i source one from a scrappy such as this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-MEGAN ... 3a6a66e55d it should bolt and and solve my problem if A. i do it correctl and B. the scrappy doesnt sell me a knackered one! just make sure it has all the features your car have: auto lights, auto whiper, rear whiper switch...there are some variants. about the seller, with his score i think he will not cheat you.

can a rubbing noise come from something else or it has to be the ribbon cable ? as it is here for a mount and not always notticable. and not loud no clicking etc

usually the ribbon cable broken lights up the airbag warning light..is it on?

it is not, and it is like this for a month or more (I have it for a month and its like that from the same day)

Please can someone tell me what will happen if my rotory switch or clock spring unwinds fully or snaps altogether whilst I'm driving. Iv just bought my 03 megane and service light came on with airbag light and clicking frim steering wheel and can't afford to have this fixed at the moment as iv paid every penny I had on this car unfortunately I wasn't aware what these lights meant as I drove it home so can anyone please tell me if I can still drive until I can afford to get this switch replaced. Thankyou x
