Doing my first serivce on my 1.9dci megane here nxt week...


fuel filer looks quite hard 2get 2.


Best taking out inner arch cover??


And where u go from there???

your bang on. remove the front section of the osf wheel liner. it's a torx on the top of the fuel filter housing.
best to unclip the pipes from the top of the housing to make it easier. remove the torx screw then seperate the housing. replace filter and then rebuild in reverse order. once done prime the system with the pump behind the coolant tank. when this becomes hard try starting the car. it may stall a few times until you get all the air pushed thou.

So getting the filter out sounds simple enough just torgue screw...


But priming it? simple 2?
I'll get out in morning and have a look around for that hose!

yep, priming is simple also, just make sure everything is correctly attached. i advise you, for a easier job, to disconnect the hoses that goes to the top of the engine, to the fuel pump. This way you will be able to pull a little more the pipes and do an easier job taking out and putting in the new filter.

after all just press the bulb on the top of the engine for 30 seconds or so. try to fire up. fire up ok? all done. no fire up prime for more 30 secs
