The airbag and spanner warning lights are showing up on my 2008 Megane 1.5 dCi. The first time it happened, I switched the airbag off and on (switch by drivers door) and the warning lights went off. Now the lights are back on again and won't cancel. So, I guess it's a trip to the Renault dealer!
Anybody had a similar experience? Did you find a fix?
I guess this could get expensive at the Renault dealer but safety comes first. The warranty finished 3 months ago!!
Any advice appreciated...

Re: Air Bag Warning Light
Thanks for the info.
I found multi-pin connectors under the left hand side front of the driver's seat and right hand side of the passenger seat. They have sliding locks you pull out to disconnect them. Is that the right ones or am I missing something? I disconnected and reconnected them a few times but no change with the warning lights.

Hello Alan. The attached link might give more information about the mystical "connection under the seat"

Do you hear a rustling noise from around the steering wheel when you turn it? A bit like silver foil being screwed up.
Mike

Re: Air Bag Warning Light
Thanks Mike & Tomalamix. I disconnected the main connector under floor carpet and took the passenger seat out and played around with the connectors, couldn't actually see anything wrong. Put it all back together and no airbag light when I started the car. For now all is good, but for how long? Ha ha!! Thanks again for the helpful pointers. Alan...
