I have a May 2007 Megane Dynamique S CC (1.9dci 150). Last month I parked it in the same carpark I always park in for work (NO CCTV) and when I returned to the car at 5:30pm (called Philip by the way) and the centre panel of glass from the folding roof was on the seats

Didn't find anything inside the car to suggest what was used to smash it and the police think it might of been kids bored on a saturday with nothing better to do, but thats another storey.
Anyway, Autoglass wouldnt touch it, nor would my renault dealer as they (quote) "dont have the knowledge and skill to deal with something as complex as philip's folding roof".
Last option was to claim though my insurance (lucky my bonus is protected) who after a fight as to whether it was a bodywork claim or a glass claim (they said glass go to autoglass i said bodywork you do it) took it on as a bodywork claim.
The car was away for 2 weeks and came back a week ago last wednesday and seemed as good as new but friday morning went out and I had a pond on my front seats

So the garage that did the work have taken it back and they say the leak is not a result of the repair its an existing defect on all renault cc's and the window rubbers attached to the roof, while renault now say the warrenty on the roof and its rubbers is revoced as it has been replaced BUT the best bit is, the repair garage have now told me they did not do the repair themselves. They sent it to an undisclosed renault dealership with a bodyshop to subcontract the repair as they too did not have the skills or knowledge to deal with Philip's roof (where have i heard that before, hmmmm)
So is it a renault defect or is it a result of the repair???
I am blonde and just a girl but I think its repair related!!! And do my dealership have the power to cancel my warrenty????
So now what do I do???? I dont know much about the workings of philip's roof apart from how to put the roof up and down, so if my ramblings made any sence to anyone could you please offer up you advice!!!

Thank you in advance
Emma
