I got a call from the garage that I bought the wifes 225 from yesterday wasnt in. I have been busy so wife returned the call and was told there was a recall on the brake hoses and the actual brake calapers......SHOCK........ Anyway they said it wouldnt cost Me being scottish was VERY VERY HAPPY , So the car is in right now they said half a day I said three hours it doesnt take that long to change hoses etc...anyway have come home went right onto the internet checked with VOSA about the recall......NOTHING THERE , I called them up told them my find to be told by a very nice young girl that Renault dont tell VOSA as they have nothing to do with them....Now I thought that when your car is recalled VOSA has to be notified etc....am I wrong and renault have it correct for a change ??? Anyone any veiws on this or know anything about this recall The car is an 2005 225 sport.

I think this kinda of topic has been raised before... but no, it's not a VOSA recall. it's just a Renault fix. and no manufacturer has to inform VOSA.

it's probably not as bad as it sounds else VOSA would be required to issue a warning. and VOSA would get the details of every model sold via DVLA. Renault just use the information on their network i think hence some fixes don't get done for a while.

Sorry about the delay in my reply , kids birthday etc.

Turns out it's a flexi hoses of some sort and not what I was told as the young guy was not informed properly, turns out my wifes car was option B and that part wasnt ordered so back in tomorrow with it , hassle yup that it is but they has sent out £60 in vouchers, aint that nice. :)
