Recently fitted a forge bov and blanking plate
Car seems to go harder, you can really feel the turbo pull. Thought it was just in my head because of the new sound.

Fitted a boost gauge recently and car seems to be boosting between 12-14 psi.
Just wondering if my gauge might be faulty it could this be something more serious?

If your BOV is silent at the time you take these readings, then it is not affecting the pressure. It's supposed to stay fully closed when on throttle.

Consider replacing it with a recirculation valve - less noise and a cooling effect when expanding the air back into the intake. The stock setup uses recirculation for a reason. Updated recirculation valves are also available for tuned engines running larger turbos.
