Clutch

Postby ayjvee » Wed Sep 12, 2012 1:45 pm

Hi, I'm slowly getting to grips with the pig of a 225 Cup I bought a few weeks back!! However, there's something else I need to ask about, which is: The clutch pedal is 'loose' or 'sloppy' at the top of the pedal travel. The car appears to pull just fine though. I'm used to a really heavy clutch from my Clio 172, so is it me, could the clutch be on the way out, or is that normal for a 225?
Hope someone can advise?
Many thanks.

The question you have to ask yourself, is does it slip. In a high gear?
Silver 08 plate 5dr 1.5dci Dynamique 106 Tech Run (re-mapped)

Red 03 plate 5dr 1.9 Dynamique dci120

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!

If that's the acid test, then 'No' it definitely doesn't! So I guess it's just a case of getting used to it!
Many thanks for your reply.

if i press my clutch slowly all the way to the end, (when it feels like the end) i can press a little harder and get a bit more, i think thats to disable stuff like speed limiter and traction control but not sure, my mates megane does the same thing :)
