hi all new here
just traded my typer r gt 2007 in for a 54 plate megane 225.on saturday.the megane has only covered 52k miles fsh etc.good cond apart from wear on the drivers seat,is this norm
just 1 issue, the steering feels sloppy as in it puls constantly to the left, and feels light on the steering when going into corners as if the front end is floating, the steering feels ok to the left but weird to the right.
is it just tracking on these cars that might need doing or could it be something else
cheers in advance
megane 225 sport

Re: megane 225 sport
I NEED A LOT OF HELP WITH MY CAR.
I have the Rebault Sport Megane 225 (5 door 04 plate edition). My turbo has gone and i'm trying to get quotes to have it repaired. I have been advised by an independant garage to go to Renault to have it fixed due to tools required etc.
Renault have quoted me £2845 for the repair. They claim this includes 10 hours worth of labour, the cost of the turbo and the gaskets etc. They have also said that it is this much because they need to remove the engine, filter and replace the oil and some other things like the air hoses - or something like that!!
Can anyone help me and advise me?? People i have told are really baffled as they have never heard of the engine needing to be removed to fix the turbo!!!
Please reply soon - i need to get to work. LOL
Thanks for your time
Tami

A renault spanner monkey cost is £35 per hour.
10 hours = £350
The parts you require cost approx £1400 through the current version of 'Renault Diologies'.
Thats a total of £1750 to £1900 MAX. I would be pressing at them hard to justify the other £1445.
If they dont phone renault uk and get their price for the job through a main dealer. Get a copy of this and bring it to the reanult monkey you are dealing with.
It would be very interesting to see what they have to say.
Please post your results!
