Hi all. I recently changed the rear pads and discs on my 225 lux as they had gotten so bad they were grinding. Now when i push the brake pedal the brakes feel spongy, there is an excess of travel with the first pump but it goes solid after two or three pumps and if you keep your foot on the pedal once hard it slowly creeps down again. I've had a quick look underneath and can't see any leaks. Could it be that they just need bleeding even though the brake hoses were never disconnected or the bleed nipples released, or will it be something more sinister. Like a new master cylinder because i didn't loosen the bleed nipples?
Any help would be much appreciated!!
Thanks.

Re: Brake problems
Hi mate,
Did you wind the rear caliper pistons back when you changed the pads or did you push them back? They need winding back.
If you've pushed em back, which is very difficult to do, you may have damaged the pistons, seals etc.... which 'may' cause spongy brakes.
I changed my pads 3 mths ago and checked on here ref: winding back pistons, I've had no probs at all since fitting, bit of squeeling but thats it.
Hope this helps!!
