Toxic fume indicator

Postby panko » Fri Sep 10, 2010 8:17 am

Hi guys, my 225 runs a little bit rough on idle, but I'm not sure if it's just me, I've come from a 3 litre bm which was very smooth, are the engines naturally a little bit jumpy on idle with a slight pop from back end? Ive pulled the codes and it come up with misfire detected cylinder 3 so replaced the sparks and all the coils for good measure.

I do get the toxic fume indicator on warm and only on idle. Any ideas, injector maybe? I've listened to them all and sound ok... Are they expensive?

Hi,

I've just had the toxic warning indicator on, codes were misfire on pot 1. Changed all 4 coils, light out - for now!

Did you ever get to the bottom of this with yours?

Cheers
Ben

hi guys,,i have the same problem.if im sat at lights or the beast is left ticking over while i pop into the shop, the toxic fume light flashes its head off.
this started off with the diagnostics saying a dodgy pot,num 3 cylinder..so i changed all the coils and still had the filter light flashing,,,another trip the the diagnostic's and this time num 4 cylinder missfire,,so i booked her in for a full service.low and behold i still have the bloody light flashing but only when left for some time ticking over.
would anyone have any answers for this, its so anoying.?

Update, Ive replaced, coils, sparks, injectors and I have not seen the light for a while however it is still lumpy on idle. Im thinking lambda/airflow sensor next...
