Now a proud owner of a 225 :)

Postby gazwkd » Thu Jul 22, 2010 1:47 pm

I was actually going for a 04' Leon Cupra R, finding a decent one is a bit harder than the Renault though!
Saw a 5 door 225 in wales with r26 decals. Wasn't too keen then saw this and was sold due to the condition of the car :)
I bought from a dealer as I've had 2 previous bad experiences buying private :(

That looks fantastic and it's also the best colour imho!

What's the mileage on it? Does it have any options fitted? We need details! :)

I think it's just a standard 225. I have my eye on replacing the head unit with a Pioneer DVD unit ;)

I'll either get the alloys redone in a gun-metal finish or change them completely.

Further down the line I expect to drop the ride height with some new springs (poss a coilover kit)

No doubt I'll change the exhaust from stock to a Mongoose unit too ;)

The original wheels will look good re-done in gun metal.

If your going down the springs route I can highly recommend Eibach Pro-Kit. They are probably the best lowering springs available imo.

Do not touch the Alloys - these people are wrong wrong wrong! They look their best like that, if darker wheels are required you need the multispoke from the cup and later version of the 225/230. :)

No one is 'wrong wrong wrong' when it is an opinion.

Opinions arn't allowed, the French 'tasteful' Police will come arrest you for crimes against alloys :).
