New Owner Auto lights and rear wiper not working

Hi,
I have just purchased my first Renault, a 225, 2005. I have tried to check the auto lights to see if they are enabled, i found some info in the manual and some on here, however I still cant get it to do anything. No message ever appears no matter how long I hold the button in.
My other issue is I cant get the rear wiper to go. I can get it to spray water onto it, but it never wipes.

I'd start by looking in the links section for the circuit diagrams and initially testing every fuse (they are all over the place). That is supposing that your car has auto lights - mind the wiper ought to work!
