Megane 225---Vs.

hey i was just wondering if any1 has raced a 225 against any other car. drag racing and other just so i can know who to race and who to pass...

well the new leon cupra r or whatever is quicker in a straight line i think,

oh ok thx...well i know that the old civic type r will only stay close on the 1st and 2nd gear but is no match on high speeds
and the old cupra will start to catch up but not overtake at 150+ km/hr

The megane 225 f1 will give just about anything a go especially with a good re-map. I have just done a track day at castle combe and made a few things look stupid.

Had great fun sofar with my R26 on the Autobahns.
Best of all had a 996 carrera 4 last week.
out accelerated him from 130kmh to 220 kmh.
So he didn't want to know after that.
In normal everyday driving here in Germany, there's nothing much to fear up to 220Kmh apart from out and out supercars.
The in gear acceleration of some of the top diesels,is very impressive,so watch out for them.

just a heads up to stay clear of a DSG Mk 5 R32 it will over take the megane near 100km/hr in a drag race

Watch out for the Impreza boys! especially in the wet, 7 out of 10 have been tuned.

Is there much difference between the 225 and 230 cup? In terms of acceleration.

hey all i got the new 230 r26 and there aint alot faster though id stay away from the VXR's part from that bring on anything and everything!!

Actually the megane is faster in the corners because it can take it better. I am not advising you to try it though. The Astra VXR gets out accelerated by the clio v6 but that is one monster of a car.

One nice thing though the megane GT175dci can out accelerate from 40-90 the RS225 and RS230. Funny that, but from stand still the diesel is no match.

the clio V6 isnt a quick car. in the right hands a 172/82 is just as quick. i'd expect a F1 to leave a V6 quite happily. its a lot easier to drive too

Clio V6 with megane RS that I am not sure about...... would be interesting to watch.
