I'm looking to buy a megane 225, it doesn't have full service history and the cambelt has not been changed and is due. Although this is reflected in the price.
If I get the car I will book it in for a full service straight away.
I was thinking oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter, spark plugs, coolent, brake fluid, gearbox oil, cambelt, cambelt tensioners, auxiliary belt, and auxiliary belt and auxiliary belt tensioner.
Are all of the above essential or could I get away with oil, oil filter, cambelt and cambelt tensioners.
Does the auxiliary tensioner really need to be done?
Thanks all.

Re: Service intervals
The auxiliary tensioner with the belt needs to be done, cause aux. belt is also driven by crankshaft pulley (which also drives the camshaft via cambelt). It is a good idea to change the alternator pulley as it can also give troubles. Some people also change the crankshaft pulley if the car has covered 100.000 miles or more.

Re: Service intervals
So would you think the following kits plus alternator pulley, oil and filter would be enough?

https://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product ... 2&appid=12
The car is on 75k so no need to change crankshaft pulley?

That's it, plus the cam seals http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=4063&appid=2. It is a good idea to check the condition of the crankshaft pulley while the engine is out. If it's without cracks on the rubber body, changing it is not needed.
