Secondly anyone any recommendations of a fairly cheepesh but decent set, looking for £250 or less, found nankang, heida and falkon all arround £200 the set unfitted. Any experience with these makes?

Help quick as I'm off to buy them tomorro I think!lol

Thanks in advance,Joe

:-) almost 100/ that's the right size tyre, mostly after advice as to a decent tyre..

I'm thinking nankang, seem good, tread pattern looks really good, like the look of heida but not seen any reviews of them...

So nankang shoul be fine? Think I'll go with them, reviews seem more positive than negative, positive seem really good n then there are some saying that the tyres sooo bad n not safe, I don't see how they can be so different!!lol

I can vouch for Falken. They are considered mid-range where as Nankang are real cheapies. Always buy the very best rubber you can afford.

Decided on nankang ones, didn't manage to get them today but going on Friday,
I'm weary that they might not be fantastic but bearing in mind I'm going from stock 16"s to 18"s I'm expecting to have to get used to them, so I'll quickly learn their grip! Lol n if this weather keeps up I'll know the wet grip better than the dry!!

As others have said.. try the falkens..
both are relatively good.. the 452's and 912's I think.. although the 452 have a more 'sporty' tread pattern and seemed better when giving it beans!!
another one to considder which I found to be surprisingly good are Kumhu ku31 ecta sport.. very good.. had them on my vec before the megane and performed very well in all conditions
Will be replacing the megane in summer with any of the above..
try camskill.com for good service..
can usually get 2 fitted at your local tyre garage for £15-20 so factor this into if you buy tyres online!
