Hi everyone. Do the side airbags on a 2004 Megane, protect the head and body??? or just the body? :?:

The Megane has thorax side airbag and a head curtain to protect front and rear passengers, so i do think they protect the head in some way.

This link has got some nice video's of what will happen to a Meggy, and passengers in a smash.

Thanks, but I am considering a 2004 model which doesn't have curtain, only side airbags.
Can anyone tell me how far up side airbags come when activated? :? :?:

No idea I've never seen them activated. I can't imagine they would come up too far

I'm not 100% either but the side airbags come out of the side of the seat I think so I would assume that they would protect your from your hips to your shoulders?

Have you made your decision yet about whether to get a magane or not?

Hope x

Hi HOPE, yes we bought the 2004. We are very happy with it. Its a hatch and has a 2.0 with 6spd. We love the styling, its a real head turner. They are very rare in Australia.
