brake pad wear indicator?

ok, so its not strictly a pre-ownsership question but ....

does the megane have a sensor which tells you if you brake pads are worn down?

there's a brake fluid indictor which can help in determining if you need new pads.

ooh ray,a good idea but what if your friendly mechanic tops up the brake fluid when the pads are part worn? the light would never come on.

If you have alloy wheels you can see the outer pad thro' spokes of wheel.
