Well, some of the stories are true but it depends to the certain vehicle. Perhaps look at late 2004 or 2005.

Wezhoy,if you check with RAC or sites like that it comes up as 2003 megane 1.6 Dynamique.

as Basenji mentioned, the 2003 models have had loads of problems, that might explain the very low milleage, you better consider the later model for your own peace of mind.

As the others say go for a newer model if you can afford it? Early Megane's can be rather problematic, but it just depends on the individual car?

Megane's have auto lights and wipers, which can cause problems. Any Renault dealer will be able to tell what recalls and remedial work needs to be done to the car.

I'd have a hunt around because there are some very good deals on newer models. If there was a fault with any car when I took it for a test drive I'd dismiss it straight away.

ive decided to go for it
6 month warrenty will clear any faults
should be ok !!

ive seen loads of 03's on the road

lol Hope its not a lemon !!

what you mean when you say depands on the individual car ?

what are the odds on a 03 being a bad one 20% or more or less ?? Hmmm ?

Congratulations on you're purchase. Hope it serves you well.

What I mean is that some cars suffer more faults than others? So you could have an 03 plate that has been totally faulty free, and another that has been plagued with one fault after another. If you've bought it from a Renault dealer, they will be able to give you a print out of all the warranty/recall work that has been carried out on the car.

Enjoy your new car

all the recall work is completely up to date

another good way of knowing what recalls left on your car,is to register with MY RENAULT section on renault.co.uk,when you enter the car details it will notify you of any remaining recalls (if there is any).

hopefully everything goes fine :D
