car paint interior protection

Postby bbr81 » Wed Jan 01, 2014 11:56 pm

Should I go for this additional option when buying a newish car from a dealer?

There are a few people near me that are doing similar products, done at your home. Not a hold load cheaper than the dealer mind but I feel may be a better finish?

Dealer offers this for £300 http://www.g-3glasscoat.com/

No don't pay any extras. There is a reason why it is pushed at the time of the sale.

Furthermore, they falsely advertise the product. There is no glass in it, and they do not publish what it actually is. Renault use very good paints, which will last 20 years easily.

No do not pay for this, it is a complete scam. Upselling, or the technique of adding extra products onto a single sale, is the hallmark of the auto sales industry. And every single one of those salesmen know it. So not only shouldn't you do it, but you should tell them that you know it's a scam, that you know that they know it's a scam, and tell them to take another 1 % off the price of of the car in order to secure your continued interest in the deal. It's exactly what they're doing to you, after all.
I'm not sure if National Tyres give the best deals or not, but feel free to check them out.
