Thinking of buying in on around an 04 seen some on Internet, what they like? Reliable? I've heard bad things about meganes so thought ad come on here and ask and get some opinions.

Check all electrics, have a good test drive from cold any strange noises when starting it and it could be dephaser issues which are either expensive or very expensive, check for water ingress in places like footwells, spare wheel well, front floor pockets etc, make sure it has FSH preferably with interim oil and filter services, go on Renault UK site and input the reg number to see that it's had any recall work done. I had one and it was a fantastic car, not without problems but I currently have a VAG and that's had enough problems to make sure I won't have another so, there's good and bad in all marques.

One thing I would say is the 1.6 isn't the best of engines imo and, if you can stretch to a 1.5dCi that's a better bet, cheaper to run and better to drive.

Bought it yesterday everything perfect on it really happy with it upto now so hope it stays ok
