Identify engine??

Hello everyone,
I'm about to buy a second hand meg II phase II diesel and I wanna know how can I find out if the engine is 1.5 or 1.9 :?: , is it engraved in the engine or somewhere else and of course other then the engine cover.

Is the V5 not present? It'll tell you on there.

Open the drivers door, there should be a sticker with some info on, engine size, bhp, vin etc.

What used to be called and still is sometimes, the log book. It's the certificate that shows car, owner, emission details etc

doesnt the engine cover say whether its a 1.5 or a 1.9
