1.5 100

i was thinking of getting one of thease cars very soon, but seeing the problems they have ......... is it just hit and miss with the car id buy? or is it like going to happen with all cars at one point? like the water issue etc, is it worth just stopping clear of this car if i have a tight pocket? would be a shame as there really nice cars to look at.

Buy it from a VAT registered dealership that should offer some warranty. Inspect every single electrical item, and check the service history - the recommended 18kM service is a joke. Test drives are important.

There is no inherent risk in buying this type of car, but due diligence on your part is imperative. All cars have common faults, from the Ford Model T to the latest Bugatti. Just look at other clubs' websites. You will find more problems than the average driver ought to expect - forums such as this exist because people complain, not owing to their praises!

Normally i would say flush through the heater matrix, but you've changed this.
