Hi, I have been considering a newer scenic, I have been offered a 1.5dci model scenic (2005) and I was wondering if it would be suitable. I have a 1.9 diesel (Scenic) that I use for towing my trailer (Camping gear and usual tip runs) Could anyone tell me if there is much differance in the pulling power and economy between these two engines.Or should I stick to a 1.9 model
Also has anyone any idea as to the cost of having a tow bar (single electrics) supplied and fitted
Thanks Tony

which version of the 1.5dCi have you been offered? the power outputs are 82,86,100 and 106 and I think only the 106 version is a 6 speed I cannot remember.

If you are intending to use it for towing then you will notice a big difference in performance.

The 1.5dCi 100 is a good engine but it only has 148lb ft of tourque, you should get good fuel economy out of it but having owned a 1.9dCi 120 with 221lb ft of tourque you will notice a difference (presuming that you currently have the post 2003 model Scenic?)

You could always get it remapped to give you extra oomph if you want though?
