Im wondering what to do? As soon as I get it shall I check the ecu box and seal it?

Water gets to the ecu when the circular cover (for changing headlight bulbs) in the passenger side wheel arch goes missing. If its there - no worries

Ive just spoken to the dealer about my car, they said the service dept. thinks the timing belt needs doing as they are not sure its been done.

Quoted £100 for the belt....

That sound about right?

I paid 260 notes to get my cam and alternator belts done, but 100 quid sounds cheap. If they are going to do the work get them to change the water pump aswell while they are down there.

I would also get them to do a service using 5w40 semi or fully synthetic oil. Our early dCi 120 suffer from turbo failures caused by wrong oil and Renaults stupidly long 18000 miles service intervals. Get the oil changed and do this every year or 9000 miles :D

I wish I had come on the message board earlier now

They've already done the service and I have no idea what oil they've used. I'll have to ask the guy when I pick it up tommorrow now and if theyve used a drum full of cheap sh1te then ill get the oil changed again.

I thought 100 notes was cheap as well (I hope he does it properly)
