Very disappointed with the Laguna Coupe
The 3.5 V6 with 237bhp can only achieve 0-62 in 7.4 seconds with a top speed of 151mph and the 3.0V6 TD does 0-62 in 7.3 seconds with a top speed of 150mph. Such a big engine over £25k and a Clio 197 will kick its bigger brother.....
Bit disappointing....

Re: Very disappointed with the Laguna Coupe
Suppose it's only to be expected though, think of the extra weight in the car plus the extra weight in the engine

Re: Very disappointed with the Laguna Coupe
Can't expect to compare them though, can you? Two completely different motors.
Re: Very disappointed with the Laguna Coupe
I must say then 3.0TD is an automatic plus there is still a RS version coming so maybe i should wait

Its a motorway cruiser not a pocket rocket!!
237bhp seems a bit lame for an engine of that size thou! when u think the nissan 350z has the same size engine and has summat like 280bhp.

How often do you need to do 0-62mph UNDER 7 seconds
? What's all this crap about performance when you're in traffic-jams all day? Who needs these excessive speeds or bhp's .... these are useless. Gimme luxury!

When that yob in his saxo is 10 millimetres from your rear bumper its nice to be able to leave it behind. Plus over taking at times, especially if there is a baddy chasing you in a shopping mall

Probably is the the same engine, albeit a detuned version of it.

Ur right there! esp on the diesel. but it dont need a remap! trust me lol! its a flyer, esp on the midrange acceleration.
Test drove the 3.0 V6 GT diesel with my dad the other day, my brother is renault sales manager and asked if we wanted a go lol.
My dad liked it that much hes ordered one, traded in his lexus RX300 for it.

Maybe I shouldn't test drive it, I might like it more than my cc... then again nothing beats topless driving

Re: Very disappointed with the Laguna Coupe
I must disagree withyou completely. I went for a test drive in a 2.0ltr Diesel(180) with sat nav and all the extras. It drove beautifully and had quite a kick when you put your foot down. It was a lovely place to sit and a pleasure to drive. For all you power hungry people there is a tuning box out the called a Powerclick . I fitted one to my Vectra 1.9(150) diesel and it pushed my BHP up to 194 and was ballistic for a 1.9 diesel. They take less than 5 mins to fit by plugging straight into the common rail and gives op to a 30% increase without any other mods.on my vectra i was able to beat a astra vxr away from a standing start and watch it in my rear view mirror
