Just about to buy an 08 plate 1.4 dynamique

Just wondering if some of the common faults mentioned on the earlier cars have been ironed out on the later cars.

The 1.4 does not have variable valve timing (VVT) so at least you won't have problems with a faulty dephaser pulley. I think build quality has improved since the early models but at least you'll have a couple of years worth of warranty to fall back on if anything does go wrong. As for pencil coils and window regulators, it's pot luck as to whether they fail or not.

Picked the car up on friday as arranged and the car is great, i was a little concerned that the performance would be a little lacking but its quite nippy and once past about 4000rpm is actually quite quick (for a 1.4). :D

i was the same but happly give bigger cars a run for their money throught the twistys.!!!

Now with K&n panel filter, FLI 180w speakers inthe front door!!! New mats in the snail mail. Just got to fit lowering springs and new stereo without the wife seeing or noticing!!!!

I'm thinking about lowering mine too, 35-40mm with a nice set of 18" or 19" wheels.
