wheel bearings

Postby millo » Fri Mar 28, 2008 4:01 pm

how's it going lads .I bought A 1.4 MEGANE DYNAMIC in november for my daughter it was a cat d car ..the entire car drives like a bird she's delighted with it, so i hope to get at least 3 years outa this car.(cost £3000) After 5 mths I have replaced the front spring ("daddy i ran into a big hole in the road and now my car is making a funny noise") Replaced a headlight bulb (notice how many Renaults have only one headlight working) ..not easy with big hands in fact gave up and took it to local mechanic who quotes me £150 to change the timing belt ,not bad?..Now there is this strange like rubbing noise coming from the back of the car does any -body think this could be wheel bearings ? :banghead

Welcome to the forum. You could try jacking the rear wheels up and giving them a spin to see if you can identify the source of the noise. It might be the rear pads not coming off all the way when you release the hand brake.
