Diesel Tuning

Other than a Remap what else can i do to me 1.5dci Megane, and where can i get the things at.
mine doesnt go fast enough for me......

I currently have one fitted to my x-type Jag. Very impressed with it.
Thinking of getting one for my wife's 1.5 dci Meg.
Its nowhere near as permanent as a remap. plus you get 10 different settings. Easy to fit and remove also.
About half the price of a single remap.

not sure if they are interchangeable but how bout turbo conversion or bigger injectors?? try dervdoctor.co.uk ask them best way to get big bhp and they'll give you a list lol they quoted 245bhp out of my audi for turbo,exhaust and bigger intercooler pipework + map!! gets expensive though would it not be worth get the 120 then start modding? i drove a couple of 1.5 dcis and they didnt seem as wind proof as the 1.9 dont know why perhaps because the engine revved more. then the 1.9 wasn't overly wind proof but then i had glass roof.

Was considering getting my 1.9dci remapped but anybody that does remapping over here in NI has warned me about how fragile the turbos are standard so even a tuning box as mentioned above is going to put extra stress on it and the flywheel.

I Have mine remapped by angel tuning, there one company i wouldnt go to again for a remap, in NI anyway....
also just got a boost controller for my meggy, that made a big difference, the nose of the car kicks up like its sitting around 130bhp feels great, i know its not at that power but the added torque is amazing, would recomend anyone with a diesel to get one if u looking to be thrown back into ur seat abit more
i was also thinking on a Twin Turbo, i like the idea of it and know it will cost me an arm and a leg and then something else, but if i knew that the power gains would justify it i would pay for it,
just trying to made a list of what i can do,
i like to tinker with my motor.

To get big power you'd have to spend crazy money. Not really worth it on a 1.5 anyways.

im young free and single so i wouldnt mind spending the money needed even if it cost the same to get the likes of a GT or a 175
I like the whole idea that a 1.5 Diesel can go alot faster than a MK4 Golf 2.0 TDI
The car can actualy keep up with Glanzas too, but looks standard on the outside so noone would think.

ive got a 2.0 a3 and id dare say a meg 1.5dci wouldn't live with it, especially now its been mapped!! not being biased against the megs but the 1.5 are mad economy whereas the 2.0 tdi are more power and economy no offence intended but youd need spend alot of cash to be beeting mine somewhere in the region of 180bhp and 330 lb/ft torque had 130 today and still pulling on a 1/2 mile straight there a good bit of kit, think youd need turbo conversion along with internals uprated and injectors, fmic, remap perhaps more tbh ££££££s not being horrible just honest ive driven both i had a 1.9 and that wouldn't live with the 2.0 perhaps a 1.9tdi 90 or 110 golf?

At the minute my meggy is sitting at about 110BHP with near 300bl/ft a friend of mine has a 2.0 TDI MK4 Golf and i keep up with it so im chuffed with it.
I know all about those A3's i want one myself Preferably an 2.0 TDI S Line Quatro
but im having to make do with the meggy,,,,for now anyway
with that boost controller i added, its increased my MPG aswell i was crusing along at 60mph and my TC said i was getting 74.3MPG

thats pretty good mpg matey ive got the 140 sport and must admit its one of the nicest cars ive owned/driven i love it even standard it was quick i love the quatro but couldn't find one with the extras i wanted at the price i wanted to pay so had to have 2 wheel drive lol thats pretty impressive from a 1.5 mate tbh surprised you've not killed it lol with the audis if you've got the budget you can get a tdi 180 which obv with the remap must be 200+bhp and 350+lb/ft torque

nothing yet only had couple of months had remap done at rapidremap in cannock pulls loads better now just keeps going had 130 on clock and was still dragging yesterday obv on track

not found anywhere yet apart from m1 with staright long enough to go for broke!! and dont think id risk traffic cops on m1

Have u thought about a boost controller, it will make the turbo kick in alot more ferociously, add torque to ur motor but very little if any BHP she would get up to 130 alot quicker too.

thought about one but wasn't sure if disconectin the electronic boost valve solenoide would cause fault codes to pop up? is it the same as petrol boost controller i.e barrel with the screw in pressure control? if so i might whip my mates off his bmw and try that on?
