Which wheels should I buy????

Postby mcmurr4y » Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:39 pm

I'm going to be changing my wheels after xmas to something a bit more respectable and want some advice. :?:

I've looked at hundreds of different styles but have decided on either of these 2:

Bellini Bellas in 18":

or

Kei force 10's in 18"

I know they're pretty similar but I'm thinking about choosing a darker colour like this to contrast with the red:

What do you think? Any other wheels you think would look well?

cheers,
ryan :)

It's all down to personal choice when you try and pick some wheels. There's a good gallery at this site:

More wheels than you can shake a stick at! :rock

The thing is the bellas are basically the same wheel as the kei force 10's but come in at £100 cheaper.

They look amazing in high power silver as well. Been quoted £650 for the bella's with 225/40/18 tyres fitted. Probly wont get much cheaper than that.

Some 19"s

Despite this site looking abit shoddy there a decent place to get wheels from. mine came well packaged and quickly. my wheels have gone up in price on there like by £150.

giving advice for the roads over here a 35 or 40 tyre aint the best it will slide out on rainny days.
i'd to change bk to my standard wheels for winter i'd on a 40 tyre on 17" was a bit scray on the handling at times given but also a fatter tyre fills the arch and give a better ride comfront if intended to lower the car in the future :D

Not too clued up on tyres but when i was in looking at wheels I told the guy I'd be lowering the car 45mm and he said 225/40 would be what I should be going for.

225 40 18 are exactly what you should be going for, same size as the megane sports, you get some decent tyres on and there'll be no complaints, and if you go for cheapy tyres just take it easy round bends/roundabouts in the wet.

Those tyres are way too small in outer diameter, will look well odd in the arches IMO. I'd definitely not recommend that size.

But if the price is right, maybe you could keep the rims and sell on the tyres to someone with a slightly older/smaller car that the tyre size is more suitable for (e.g. Megane Mk1, Golf Mk3, Peugeot 306, older gen. Astras etc etc)?
