I agree, but I would opt for the 165 BHP GT model :grin

It's not possible to add a turbo to your engine, or at least not feasible.

the cost would be the major factor - but anything is possible

Don't think the 1.6 engine would last long with a turbo on it :D

You can always go for the 2.0 16V like me, a lot quicker than the 1.6 16V and still affordable

The factory Megane 1.6 engine wasn't build for a turbo. Doesn't mean that it can't be done, but the cost of adapting it would be very great.

Cheaper to trade it in for something which already has a turbo on it

hi snowy

the bravo 1.4 T-sport was designed to have a turbo from the outset as part of the trend for turbocharging smaller capacity engines for performance/economy/emissions bonus'- the tolerances of the engine would have this factored in- megan00B the best bet for releasing more power is a remap or induction mods methinks- try - or maybe even simply checking the car is running properly!!..it wouldnt be unusual not to be!!

try this place...https://www.morego.co.uk/products.php?ca ... =1&start=1

that might do it!!!

Theres ways of doing it on the cheap, but realiablity might be an issue if you go down that road, ie replacing gaskets with copper ones to lower compression rather than getting forged pistons etc.

Pretty sure there was a company in my area that would slap a turbo on pretty much anything for about 1k a year or two back, call mo-doctor or something, not sure on spelling. you might be better trying to find a smashed up 225 and get the engine, put it in on the down low, 225 power - 1.6 insurance, tax etc. you didnt hear that from me tho, haha.

Probably just a better idea to save up tho, and theres 225 kicking about for under 8k now
