Fitting Renault Sport Pedals & Foot Rest

Postby kenny1001 » Tue Feb 05, 2008 10:27 am

Just bought some renault sport metal pedals and a metal footrest o fit to my 2003 1.6 megane dynamique. Just wondered if anybody else has fitted these and if so how did you go about doing it, it appears the footrest is rivetted in but i haven't got the pedals as yet so have no idea how they are fitted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i vaguely remember this topic being raised on the meganecc site.

I think you had to drill the pedals or something... but i could be entirely wrong.

Got the pedals from a renault main dealer, they were £30 for the three pedals and £20 for the metal foot plate. Apparently Renault rivett the pedals and footplate in. They are charging me £40 (half hours labour) to fit them.
Figured this was probably best so if anything goes wrong it is down to them.

Pedals need to be drilled, I have then , and found that the brake pedal (new one had to be heated a little to give it the bend it needed...., I posted a pic of mines a while back, cant remember where though.

All fitted and it looks great, just charging my camera to put some pics up tomorrow, cost me an extra £10 for the rivets they needed, but it was well wort the wait.

Here are the pictures as promised, they look really good, but have noticed they get scratched really quickly, but i suppose that was to be expected. Let me know what you think.

It was indeed Renault that fitted the pedals, ordered them from Renault along with the rivetts (ordered for a renault sport 225)
