Had the DCi Remapped....

went along to these guys today https://www.angeltuning.co.uk to have my 1.9 remapped. The good thing about these guys is they can also come out to your place if you cant get to them ,and then they live map it for you on the road.

gotta say initial impressions are very good. its a hell of a lot more torquey (they claim around a 50 lb/ft increase) which means less gearchanges. i opened it up a few times on the way back and it was a hell of a lot quicker to 80 (and beyond) through the gears. its a lot happier to pull from low revs now as well, 50 in 6th was always fairly lethargic before whereas now its much more keen to pull.

as for fuel economy i haven't done enough miles to really gauge that but I'm going to leeds and back at the weekend so that should give me a fair idea. what i would say though is that it was a 35 mile drive home from where i got it done. my comp said i had 499 miles left till empty and when i got home it was on 497

all in all it looks like a good 300 spent

It just so happens that im just up the road from Leeds and the kettle is always warm!

so..... if you happen to be passing we could compare my plug in jobby to your remap :D
