i am looking for a pair of aftermarket rear lights for my megane. There are a few lexus style lights on ebay like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Renault-Megane-03-Chrome-Lexus-Rear-Lights_W0QQitemZ150180095628QQihZ005QQcategoryZ10410QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

but i dont know whether they will suit my meg. Mine is ottoman blue....

are their any other style rear lights i could buy? dont wanna spend more than £100 on a pair, and i dont want them to look nasty and cheap like some modded cars

all ideas/suggestions welcome!

IMHO, since you don't want them to look (and be) nasty and cheap then you maybe shouldn't go for those eBay items. I think the Lexus aka California lights have been an outgoing trend for a couple of years already plus every kitted-out Corsa sports them. I once had Lexus lights from the same (Chinese) manufacturer on my Twingo, and the quality was crap: bulb holders falling off the clusters and the units not being the least watertight.

How about these original Renault/Valeo "diamant" lights? They're the same quality as the original rear lights being from the same OE manufacturer, so there'll be no quality or compatibility issues (provided yours is a Phase 1, not a Ph. 2)
***edit: oh, just noticed your signature says 2003 so it is a Ph. 1***

I haven't seen them on an Ottoman car, but here's a picture of them on a black car:

The cheapest I've found them is €120/pair + p&p (isn't that under £100?) at Tuning-Tempel in Germany. I've ordered a pair myself as I think these look seriously elegant. 8-)

im in the same boat with Ozzy82.

ive want some lexus rear lights (i want the black ones)

ive sen it on another megane - there seems to be a clear plastic lip all the way round the edge of the light holding. which looks crapp.

correct me if im wrong if its not true on all lexus lights. Maybe it was cos it was black it showed up more

not to sure i will have to have a hunt about for some details, only paid £50 brand new, there was someone advertising broken ones on ebay for like £10 i rang him up and he said he had new ones in for £50, so i was like, ile have them. mind you, you'll need to mess about with the wiring to get them to fit your car like, dont think they make them for the mk2 yet.

would these fit?

Only Mk I (=pre-facelift) directly.

On Mk II you need to use the connectors from a Mk I and modify the wiring accordingly.
