modifing 225 exshaust

will removing the rear part of the exshaust ( not sure what to call it ) cause any problems in the car ?? i saw a 225 with out that part he had replaced it with a stainless steel pipe and it sounded great any advice ?

If you mean the backbox, quite a few people get it done, so dont think it causes any problems, as the b/box's purpose is to make the system quieter, could be illegal, not sure on that though. should still pass mot's as the cat deals with the emmisions
