need your expertise here members, ive got a simota universal induction filter i had fitted on my last car and was wondering if any of you guys have a guide, or instructions or even some advice as to how it goes on?
ive got a 2004 1.6 and i want to know what i need to buy/fabricate to connect it up?. its a stainless mesh filter and i had it on my fiat stilo and it sounded quite awesome and just fitted straight to the intake hose. i do realise that its a tighter fit under the hood of the meg and , was wondering if anybody has done it?
thanks in advance

I wouldn't bother, it will only lose you power. But if you're insistant on fitting it then the original airbox will have to come out which involves removing the battery, battery tray and ECU before you can access the box.

I done it, because mine is a dci the turbo gives it a nice swoosh noise when accelerating.

It is a bit of a long job but well worth it in my view. What you need to do is:

•Disconnect the battery
•Unscrew the ECU
•Unscrew the battery tray
•Disconnect the intake pipe from the air filter box
•Then wedge it out
•Connect the new filter via a jublie clip

(Bare in mind the cold feed pipe from the front bumper wont reach the filter so you can get a extra bit of pipe and extend it to the filter.)

If you change your mind and want to put it back to original, good luck is all I can say :D
