19's???

Postby R55VYS » Wed May 30, 2007 1:49 pm

Alright,

just wondering if anyone could tell me if these wheel should fit on a megane. there 4x100 with a 45mm offset and 19's.

anyone know if they'll fit?

would the 45 offset make the wheels stick out the arches or scrape the springs if the recomended offset is 38-42

any help much appreciated

Cheers

Paul

If the offset is greater than advised they are likely to scrape the springs / struts / shocks but it'll depend how much clearance you have there to start with. It's not a massive difference is it 42 to 45. Is there no chance that you could try them before buying?

Yeah i can try them on before buying, its just there about 200mile away, so would be a long journey if they didnt, i was hoping it would be closer to the springs like cos i can just stick some spacers on.

cheers man,

Definatly sure, dont think that the 18's look that big on the sports so i want to go bigger, i saw a pic on another site with someone who'd put 19's on and 20's and it looked mint, going to make it a 225 replica aswell when i can find the bits. i mainly do motorway driving aswell so i dont think it should be to bad, appart from the road noise but i always have my music too loud so problem solved, lol

well this ideas out the window, just got a call from the place that were flogging them and they only actually had one wheel left, not the full set, devistated. so im going to look for some 225 replicas now.

if anyone knows where there are any it would be much appreciated.

Cheers Paul

was after some rsgt in anthracite 19s with 35 profiles but cant find them anywhere,

https://www.potn.co.uk/premier/arospeed/ ... gtprem.jpg

think they'd look well smart, but as i say just guna go for some 18's the only reason i was looking at them 19's is cos they were cheap, certainly not paying £1200 + for some

probably go for 45 215/225 18 think the bigger profile looks better, fills the arch a bit more, mines lowered 45mm aswell like so should look good.

you got any pics of yours like mate?

why dont u get a different kit, other than the RS

Bit on the pricey side for me them like, lol, on a tight budget, ive found a nice set of 18's now that look like the cup ones, going to get them ordered when i get chance.

as for different kits, ive done that with a few of my old cars and i wouldnt do it again, i just totally runined the cars, put a replica rs kit on my focus, fiberglass, and a naughty fiberglass kit on a corsa both kits didnt fit properly and cracked and once fiberglass has cracked you'l never get it right again. so i think im just going to stick with factory fit plastic parts. just slightly mod them.

exhaust looks good, think ile be buzzing him up, nice and cheap cheap to,

cheers man
