Hi,

I´m still driving my old Megane 1.6 16V. I was thinking of buy a Talisman next year in spring, but I think I will wait for more experience....
So I decided to to drive the Megane at least till next Mot in Mai 2018. But my catalyst is broken and clogged (power loss at high rpm, oil temperature much higher than normal) and also my exhaust manifold has a crack.

So first of all I wanted to go for parts of the Megane III, as they should fit also to the Megane II, but the maniflod is not the casted version, but the steel version. And the catalyst does not have that flex piece, that often causes trouble, too.

But as used parts are always a kind of surprise, a catalyst is really expensive and due to the fact, that I have to modify the catalyst for the 225 exhaust system I was thinking of buying a sport exhaust manifold with a sports metal catalyst.

I found this one from the spanish manufacturer RC Racing: https://www.rcracing.es/Registro.aspx?re ... 230_480366

So my question is, is there someone that also has installed this kit under his Megane 1.6 16V?

So, ordered the manifold and catalyst....the stuff has arrived, I´ll give it a try...some modifications necessary to adapt the catalyst to the RS mid-section.
Will install it the 17th of December and the weld the pipe finally to the catalyst...

I installed the stuff today together with two friends. Was not a big deal, the manifold fitted perfect. To the catalyst we did some modifications to fit it to the 225 middle section. Now it runs again nice. Oil-temperture is now also on the normal level and the exhaust quite loud... :-)

Hello. I am the owner of a megane 2 Ф 1 1.4. 2005. In this machine there is an engine 1.6 from clio. With the help of firmware and other modifications received 136 hp
There is an inlet receiver from clio rs 172.
Normal throttle from 1.4

Bought a throttle 8200110994 twingo rs /
But there are some questions.
1. on the megane 2 throttle 2 1.4 there is an outlet under the absorber 8200248821,
In the throttle valve twingo rs this hole is not.

2. where there is a hose with 8200248821 in the inlet receiver twingo gt

Thank you

I had the opportunity to get very cheap a Sebring rear silencer.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Megan ... 2555772855 (offer €85,- accepted)
Unfortunately it was the version for the hatchback and not the Grandtour. But as I had to modify the connecting tube anyhow for fitting to my 60mm RS mid-section I could extend the tail paipes, too.
