What size spacers??

Postby TheLondonReject » Sat Sep 15, 2018 11:44 am

I want to put spacers on my 2007 GT 150 but not sure how wide I can go?? I’ve seen people do 20mm on the front (10mm either side) and 40mm at the rear (20mm either side) but that was on a R26. Ive seen someone say 40mm front and 50mm rear for the GT but that seems a lot! I’ve got the 18” 225 alloys on there. I want them to be flush with the arch. Anyone used spacers on a GT?? Or know of anyone who has?? Thanks

At the rear I think the easiest way is that you put three people on the backseat, another two or three on the trunks edge and then measure the space between arch and tire. At the front you can take a long bar that goes across the wheel up the arch´s end and then simply measure with a ruler the distance. As the wheel gets some negative camber when the suspension is compressed, there should be also some safety margin.
best regards
