anybody know if the non vnt turbo cars have the same ecu as the vnt cars? ie put the kp39 vnt turbo on in place of the kp35 turbo and get it fully working?

it is not only the turbo, there is the vacuum valve, pump etc that if its on the engine for sure isnt the same for both.
also the ECU might be the same, but the program running in it is not the same gain for sure, as there is a complete function that isnt used on regular turbo, and that is VNT operation.

Yeah it will need all the vacuum control side of things, it was if the ecu is the same and vnt control can be activated it is a lot less work!
I have been looking on the net and it might be a better idea to reverse the vac can to a boost can and use it as a convential actuator and control max boost with a manual boost controller!
